Thank you for the article. Whitey was a great baseball man and a great wit. One of a kind. He will be missed. Also saddened by the passing of Carl Erskine. He played before my time, but was a very good baseball player and an even better person. Whitey and Carl, rest in peace. 🙏
I had just heard reference of Erskine recently and marveled that he was still alive. For him to pass right after Jackie Robinson Day is strangely appropriate.
